SWIMMING WITH THE SHARKS
INAUGURAL EVENT - SUNDAY MAY 31, 2026
This new event the “Shark Bait Mile” is the brainchild of event coordinator Dom Chan and is designed as a test for both your speed and your ability to estimate your speed over a 1 mile route
We will have several “Sharks” (wearing red caps) who will be chasing their prey (wearing blue caps). You get to choose how much of a head start you take on the Sharks (we will share some information from Squid Pro Quo to help you judge their times and yours). If you are perfect, you will finish a second or two in front of the Sharks - the target is to leave with as little of a head start as possible on the sharks, while avoiding being caught.
Location will be on one side or other of Cooper’s Island (depending on the wind conditions on the day)
